Drawing on her experience as a middle school language arts teacher and PreK–12 literacy specialist in a deaf school, Dr. Dostal studies teacher learning and instructional decision making in the enactment of literacy instruction. Her work examines how instructional frameworks are implemented in classrooms serving deaf learners with varied language experiences.
